We are artists/educators who are deeply passionate about art, the potential of human creativity, and life.
We strongly believe that every person holds within herself or himself the ability to create meaning and gain fulfillment through the artistic act if given the chance.
Our goal is to help you see that potential within yourself and make something of it.
—then free your inner artist at thrown elements pottery, and we’ll help you “center yourself.”
Andi was first inspired to work with clay at Cottey College and went on to earn her Bachelors degree in Fine Arts and Art Therapy from Seton Hill College. Her personal experiences with working in clay brought forth the idea of creating a working and teaching where individuals of all ages and skill levels are welcome to come and “free their inner artist,” and, as such, thrown elements pottery came to be.
Ed earned his BFA in Fine Arts and Art Therapy from Millikin University. As a teacher, Ed works with students of all ages as well as those with special needs, ranging from Autism to fully blind. Ask to see some of Ed's wheel-throwing and hand-built ceramics here at Thrown Elements!
Thank you for creating with us. We are happy to hold all finished pieces for 90 days. After 90 days, the items will be donated.
