R&D testing entails emulation of reference video source (transmitter) and sink (receiver) devices in order to conduct functional testing and interoperability testing of source and sink devices in order to detect and diagnosing potential problems between A/V devices.   • 980 HDMI Protocol Analyzer module. The 980 HDMI Protocol Analyzer module supports deep analysis of HDMI and MHL streams as well as HDMI and MHL compliance testing for source, sink, repeater/dongle devices. For HDMI the tool provides full visibility into the HDMI protocol, timing, control and auxiliary data up to 300MHz (HDMI) which supports testing of HDMI 2.0 4K Ultra HD sources at 50/60Hz using 4:2:0 pixel encoding. For MHL the module supports analysis of MHL 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 source devices.
  • 980 HDMI 2.0 Video Generator module. The 980 HDMI 2.0 Video Generator module supports video and audio functional testing of HDMI 2.0 sink devices at TMDS characters rates up to 600MHz for testing ultra high definition HDTVs with 4K x 2K resolutions running at 50/60Hz. The 980 HDMI 2.0 Video Generator module also supports HDMI Forum-approved compliance testing for HDMI 2.0 sink tests at pixel rates up to 600MHz.
  • 980 HDMI 2.0 Protocol Analyzer module. The 980 HDMI 2.0 Protocol Analyzer module supports deep analysis and compliance testing of HDMI 2.0 streams up to 600MHz. The module also supports HDMI 2.0 compliance testing for source devices. For HDMI the tool provides full visibility into the HDMI metadata, timing data, video data, control and auxiliary data up to 600MHz (HDMI) which supports testing of HDMI 2.0 4K Ultra HD sources at 50/60Hz.
  • 980 HDMI Video Generator module. The 980 HDMI Video Generator module supports video and audio functional testing at data rates up to 300MHz for testing 4K Ultra HD TVs at 50/60Hz. The module features two (2) HDMI outputs—both active simultaneously—for testing HDTVs with multiple HDMI inputs. The module also optionally supports analysis functions for testing source devices such as basic video analysis. The module now supports NEW! HDMI 2.0 test features for 1) 4K Ultra HD TVs at 50/60Hz using 4:2:0 pixel encoding, 2) 21:9 formats up to 300MHz and reading and 3) displaying EDIDs with HDMI 2.0 capabilities.
  • 980 DP Video Generator module. The 980 DP1.2 Video Generator / Analyzer module supports video, audio and protocol functional testing high-end DP 1.2 displays. The module supports HBR2 data rates including 1.63, 2.70 & 5.40 Gbps on 1, 2 & 4 lanes on both its Tx ports and its Rx port. The module features two DisplayPort 1.2 outputs—both active simultaneously—for testing displays with multiple DisplayPort inputs. The 980 DP1.2 Video Generator module is equipped with all the standard video timings and test patterns necessary for testing modern displays. The DP 1.2 module’s optional Rx analyzer port emulates a DisplayPort 1.2 display device including EDID and DPCD emulation, Rx Link Training function and MST Rx function.
  • 780 series handheld test instruments. The 780 series handheld test instruments for HDMI® are battery-powered (except 780C), portable video and audio generators and HDMI analyzers that enable you to conduct quick, on-site verification testing and troubleshooting of your HDMI system and analog video displays. The 780 series instruments are equipped with both a reference HDMI source and a reference HDMI sink interface allowing you to test audio, video and HDMI protocols—HDCP, EDID, CEC & infoframes—of any type of HDMI device: sources, repeaters and sinks.
  • 804 series handheld test instruments. The rack mountable model 804, 804A and 804B Video Generators are optimized for testing modern HDMI flat panel TVs in an R&D environment or in manufacturing production lines. The 804 video test generator supports testing of HDMI resolutions operating up to 225 MHz. The 804A Video Generator supports testing of HDMI 4K x 2K resolutions up to pixel rates of 300 MHz. The 804B video test generator supports testing of HDMI 4K x 2K resolutions up to pixel rates of 600 MHz.
  • 882 series Multimedia Test Instruments. The 882 series Multimedia Test Instruments support a wide range of functional tests for engineers in R&D lab environments. The 882 series offers features for functional testing HDMI 1.3, DisplayPort 1.1, DVI and RGB analog and component analog displays. The 980 HDMI Protocol Analyzer modules supports compliance testing for HDMI 1.4b and 2.0 sources and sinks and MHL 1.2, 1.3, 2.0 & 2.1 sources, sinks and MHL dongles. The Protocol Analyzer module also supports HDCP 1.4 and HDCP 2.2 compliance testing for HDMI devices.   • 980 HDMI 2.0 Video Generator module. The 980 HDMI 2.0 Video Generator supports functional testing and HDMI-Forum approved compliance testing for HDMI 2.0 HDTVs above 300 MHz up to 600 MHz. The module can be equipped in the 980B and 980R series Advanced Test Platforms.
  • 980 HDMI 2.0 Protocol Analyzer module. Provides deep visibility through capture/store, real time monitoring of incoming HDMI 2.0 (and HDMI 1.4) video up to 600 MHz.   • 882EA-HDMI Multimedia Test Instrument. The 882EA-HDMI Multimedia Test Instrument provides two (2) HDMI transmit (Output) ports and two (2) HDMI receive (Input) ports for testing both HDMI sources, sinks and repeater devices. The 882EA-HDMI instrument can optionally support industry approved HDMI CEC and HDCP 1.4 compliance test.
  • 882EA-DP Multimedia Test Instrument. The 882EA-DP Multimedia Test Instrument provides two (2) DisplayPort transmit (Output) ports and two (2) DisplayPort receive (Input) ports for testing both DP source and sink devices. The 882EA-DP instrument can optionally support industry approved DisplayPort Link Layer testing as well as HDCP 1.4 compliance test for DisplayPort sink devices.

  • 780B Video Generator / Analyzer.   • 980R Test Platform. The 980R platform is a modular based system that can accommodate up to five (5) 980 series modules. The 980R size and rack mounting capabilities make it ideal for use in manufacturing environments for testing HD and UltraHD TVs using the 980 series video generator modules. The 980R Test Platform and its modules can be controlled either through the PC-based 980 GUI Manager or through the embedded 980 GUI Manager running on the 980R platform itself. The 980R Test Platform’s built-in color touch screen provides a graphical user interface (GUI) to control the instrument.
  • 804 Video Generator. The rack mountable 804 Video Generator is optimized for testing modern HDMI flat panel TVs. The 804 video test generator supports testing of HDMI resolutions operating up to 225MHz. The 804 is equipped with four (4) HDMI outputs—all active simultaneously—for testing HDTVs with multiple HDMI inputs.
  • 804A Video Generator. The rack mountable 804A Video Generator is optimized for testing modern HDMI 2.0 flat panel TVs. The 804A video test generator supports testing of HDMI resolutions operating up to 300MHz. This enables testing ultra HD TVs with 4K resolutions at 50/60Hz with either 4:2:0 or 4:4:4 pixel encoding. The 804A also support testing with HDMI 2.0 21:9 format resolutions up to 300MHz.   • 804B Video Generator. The 804B Video Generator supports testing of 4K Ultra HD TVs up to 600MHz pixel rate. Tests HDMI 2.0 devices at 50/60Hz with 4:4:4 pixel encoding on sinks. Supports testing of HDMI 2.0 EDIDs on sink devices. The instrument also enables verification of HDCP 2.2 authentication with an HDMI 2.0 4K UHD TV at 600MHz.
  • 802BT Video Generator. Supports HDMI testing at pixel rates up to 165 MHz and analog composite and component outputs.
  • 802R Video Generator. Offers testing of HDMI up to 165 MHz or DVI single link or dual link testing. The analog component output provides 300 or 400 MHz pixel rate outputs.
  • 881E-HDMI Video Generator. The 881E Video Generator is well suited for your manufacturing environment whether testing HDMI or analog interfaces. The HDMI transmitter supports advanced features such as 12-bit/component deep color and HDMI 3D and operates up to 225 MHz TMDS rate. The instrument is also equipped with 250 MHz analog output and composite analog for NTSC and PAL testing.
  • 882D Video Generator. The 882D Video Generator is well suited for your manufacturing environment whether testing HDMI, dual link DVI, high speed analog displays (up to 400 MHz) or composite analog output.
