The Quantum Data 880 series video test instruments offer a wide variety of solutions for HDMI 1.3, DVI, DisplayPort 1.1 and analog video. There are several options (models) available depending on the digital interfaces and functions that are required for a particular application. The solutions supported by the 880 series include functional testing in the R&D environment, compliance testing, manufacturing testing for production lines and testing in military applications as well.

The Quantum Data 880 series test instruments are packed with features for video and audio testing of HDMI or DisplayPort sources, sinks and repeaters (HDMI). The 880 instruments can be equipped with either HDMI or DisplayPort transmitter ports and receiver ports. The receiver ports support analysis functions for testing digital video source devices. Analog outputs are also available and depending on the model the outputs range from 250MHz to 400MHz pixel rates. Composite analog supporting NTSC and PAL are available as well.

  • The 881E/882E Video Test Generator with the HDMI transmitter option supports video and audio testing of HDMI 1.3 sink devices. The HDMI transmitter supports advanced features such as 12-bit/component deep color and HDMI 3D and operates up to 225 MHz TMDS rate. The instrument is also equipped with 250 MHz analog output and composite analog for NTSC and PAL testing.
  • The 881E is a lower priced version targeted for testing on manufacturing production lines. The 882E-HDMI version provides the Auxiliary Channel Analyzer which enables you to monitor the DDC channel and the CEC bus. You can view HDCP transactions, EDID exchange and CEC messages in real time and then save these for later analysis or distribution to other subject matter experts.
  • The 881E/882E-DP Video Generator is packed with features for video and audio testing of DisplayPort 1.1 displays. The 882E-DP instrument provides two (2) DisplayPort transmitter ports that provide pattern testing of DisplayPort display devices at pixel rates up to 268 MHz. An analog option with 250 MHz analog output and composite analog for NTSC and PAL testing is available as well.
  • The Quantum Data 882D/882D Video Test Generator is a programmable test instrument packed with features for video and audio testing of HDMI, dual link DVI, high speed analog displays (up to 400 MHz) and a composite analog output for testing standard definition TVs. The HDMI output also supports 36 bit/pixel (12-bit/component) Deep Color mode, x.v. Color (wide gamut) and high bit rate audio formats.
  • The 882D Video Generator is a lower priced version targeted for testing on manufacturing production lines. The 882D version provides the Auxiliary Channel Analyzer which enables you to monitor the DDC channel and the CEC bus on the HDMI output. You can view HDCP transactions, EDID exchange and CEC messages in real time and then save these for later analysis or distribution to other subject matter experts. The 882D version can optionally be equipped with a single link SDI output.
  • The 882EA-HDMI Video Generator / Analyzer supports all features of the 882E-HDMI test instrument but also includes the analyzer option. The analyzer option is packed with features for video and audio testing of HDMI sources as well as sinks and repeaters. The analyzer option enables you to verify format timing, video and metadata on source devices.
  • The 882EA-HDMI analyzer configuration option provides the HDMI transmitter port and an HDMI receiver port that support advanced features such as 12-bit/component deep color and 3D and operates up to 225 MHz TMDS rate. An analog component video output is not available on the 882EA-HDMI configuration. The HDMI analyzer option also enables you to select from a variety of additional, industry approved compliance test options including HDCP compliance, CEC compliance and EDID compliance testing for HDMI.
  • The 882EA-DP Video Generator with the analyzer option is packed with features for video and audio testing of DP displays as well as DisplayPort sources. The 882EA-DP configuration option provides the DP transmitter port and an DP receiver port that operates up to 268 MHz. The analyzer option enables you to verify format timing, video and metadata on source devices.
  • The DisplayPort analyzer option also enables you to select from additional, industry approved compliance test options including HDCP compliance, Link Layer compliance and EDID compliance testing.
