Quantum Data Announces New 5-Module 980 Series Platform
980B Platform Offers 15-Inch Touch Screen Display
Elgin IL – December 17, 2012 – Quantum Data™, a worldwide provider of video test and compliance solutions, today announced the release of the 980B Advanced Test Platform. The 980B offers a multi-slot solution to allow population of up to five (5) application modules. The large viewing area of the 980B’s 15-inch touch display with 1024 by 768 screen resolution makes operation and analysis of the sophisticated applications convenient without the need for an external PC that is sometimes desired for gaining additional screen real estate.
The 980B joins the existing 2-slot 980 platform in the series of multi-slot 980 advanced test platforms. Currently there are three (3) modules that can be populated in the 980 series platforms:
- 980 HDMI Protocol Analyzer module supporting deep analysis as well as HDMI/MHL source and sink compliance testing.
- 980 HDMI Video Generator module supporting pattern testing for HDMI displays including support for advanced features such as deep color, 3D and 4:2:0 pixel encoding.
- 980 MHL CBUS Compliance Test module supporting source, sink and dongle MHL CBUS compliance testing.
The 980B can be equipped with any configuration of the currently available modules. Additional modules are anticipated over time.
