Quantum Data Announces 780B Video Generator/Analyzer for HDMI

Supports testing of HDMI 1.4 devices up to 300MHz with 4K-capability and adds 7″ Touch Display

Elgin IL – July 2, 2013 – Quantum Data™, a worldwide provider of video test equipment, today announced an addition to the 780 series test instruments—the 780B Video Generator/Analyzer. The 780B is similar in form and operation to the recently released 780A Test Instrument but provides a seven (7) inch diagonal color touch screen. The 780B’s larger screen provides greater viewing area for examining test results and especially the auxiliary channel analyzer (ACA) trace logs. A dashboard showing essential information about the HDMI Tx and Rx ports has been added to the bottom of the screen for convenient, at-a-glance, real time status.

The 780B supports all the features and functions of the recently released 780A. Like the 780A, the 780B supports testing HDMI 1.4 speeds of 300MHz on both its HDMI Tx and Rx ports enabling users to test 4K-capable Ultra High Definition HDMI sources, sinks and repeaters.

Like the 780 and 780A, the 780B is a battery powered, portable multimedia A/V signal generator and analyzer that can quickly check the HDMI digital ports on devices such as HDTVs, projectors, repeaters, switches, distribution amps, A/V receivers, players, set-top-boxes, etc. Analog component video as well as SPDIF and TOS-Link audio inputs can also be tested.

The 780B combines versatility with ease of use at an attractive price. Contact your Quantum Data distributor or representative for ordering and pricing information.
